The young Egyptian director Nesma Zazou was killed, in a traffic accident on the Cairo-Suez Desert Road on Friday morning.
Nesma Zazou has been working in the film industry for nine years. She obtained an MA in Film Direction from the Film School of West London University. She has written and directed six short fiction films and eight documentaries.

Her film "Sayeda" won the Best Film Award at the National Egyptian Film Festival. It was selected in several festivals, such as the BBC Arabic Film Festival in London, the Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner, the Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York, and Clermont-Ferrand Market, in addition to a number of regional and local festivals in Egypt.
The woman was studying documentary filmmaking at the University of Modern Sciences and Arts.
