Mariam Alkhalifah, Saudi businessperson and founder of MKK Group, in an online interview with the Gulf Today said, “Business either small or big has to set foot in Dubai, as it is one of the important markets in the region to expand locally and globally. We had the idea of expanding to Dubai two years ago and we did that about a year ago. Dubai is a centrepoint for global trade and in itself a huge market, so one of the best steps is to grow our business in Dubai to further expand in regional markets.”
She has completed one year of her home decorating business in Dubai and enjoys the result of establishing her office in the UAE, besides fulfilling the demands of a niche market in Saudi Arabia.
The entrepreneur engages in a series of enterprises in Saudi Arabia with over eight years of experience.
Mariam Alkhalifah established an innovative and inspiring design team and founded MK Design Studio in 2015, based in Riyadh and Dubai.
Her passion for design enables her to look outside the conventional box.
Mariam’s aim is to create unique, timeless spaces that respond to clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.
Responding to a question, Mariam Alkhalifah said, “The aim of setting foot in Dubai is the existence and expansion of our business. It enhances our local activity and plays a major role in dealing with international and Arab companies, and this develops the mechanisms and methodologies of our work on a further level.”
Mariam Alkhalifah mentioned, “Initially we started through an online marketplace, then opened our offices as it was more important. One should not forget that Dubai and working in it requires presence and development at all levels. Our goal is big and Dubai is a centre for it.”
She launched her company last year specialised in the world of interior design and decoration in Dubai, after the great successes she achieved in this field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mariam Alkhalifah has obtained a number of professional diplomas including in Interior Design, Business Management and Candle Scent and Perfumes from London.
She is running a series of business projects in Saudi Arabia.
“Interior design is the art of filling spaces with what suits the client either a home owner or a business entity, making them more beautiful and better places, while utilising the spaces in a literal and harmonious manner, placing the furniture in its right places, while distributing lighting and colours in a thoughtful way,” she explained.
