Just like her character Damini Roy from “Four More Shots Please!,” actress Sayani Gupta always speaks her mind. She agrees, though, that it can backfire sometimes. Sayani in a conversation with IANS said: “It always backfires but that’s not the point. You say something because it bothers you and you feel like you need to lend your voice to it.”
“You pick and choose your battles but you don’t shy away from speaking your mind for injustice so that is something I have lived by all my life,” she added. Sayani agrees that she is under more scrutiny as she is an actor. “The fact that I am an actor makes want to get better but it doesn’t stop me from saying what I believe in. But having said that, we are getting older... figuring lesser battles to fight because you feel sometimes what is the point.”
Season 3 will also see Kirti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, Bani J., Prateik Babbar, Lisa Ray, Neil Bhoopalam, Rajeev Siddharth, Amrita Puri, Simone Singh, and Samir Kochhar reprising their respective roles. Jim Sarbh, Sushant Singh, Shilpa Shukla and Rohan Mehra are the new faces this season. “Four More Shots Please!” Season 3 is a part of Prime Video’s festive line-up for the Great Indian Festival 2022.
While the storyline has connected well with the viewers, the glam quotient of the girls is also becoming a talking point. One of the leads in the series, Sayani shares that achieving the glam quotient was not a piece of cake for the team. “A project like ‘Four More Shots Please!’ might look easy to do, but it is actually very tough. I must say this, it’s easier to do a film where I’m playing a rural and intense character. But to look like this for the four of us... There have been times when we had nine changes in a day.
And not just clothes, but hair and make-up as well. It might look glamorous, but being well-dressed all the time is not easy. We might give an amazing shot, but if one strand of hair is out of place, then we have to retake the shot,” she says. Sayani adds, “People might have the perception that ‘Oh they’re having fun, so everything behind the camera is also all hunky dory’, but it’s nothing like that.
It takes immense work, not only by us but by our teams as well who work day in and out. Having said that, I feel when a project like ‘Four More Shots Please!’ catches these many eyeballs, our other smaller and independent films get traction and are received well.” “Four More Shots Please!” Season 3 will release exclusively on Prime Video on Oct.21, in more than 240 countries and territories.
Actress Kirti Kulhari shared some interesting anecdotes about her character Anjana from the series. Talking about the relatable factors of her character, she said: “In terms of story, of course, everything that’s a part of Anajna’s life is something that I have to play with full conviction.”
