His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Wednesday inaugurated the 25th edition of the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival at the Sharjah Art Museum.
Fifty artists from 25 countries are participating in the 25th edition of the festival.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan toured the exhibition, getting acquainted with the artists and hearing them describe their work, its most prominent connotations and meanings, and how the works mirror the festival’s theme.

319 art pieces, including calligraphy, murals, and paintings, that express the Islamic artistic scene will be shown at the festival.
The festival organises 132 events, including exhibitions, workshops, and lectures, hosted by the Department of Culture in cooperation with 18 entities in Sharjah.
The activities include 47 exhibitions by Sharjah Art Museum, Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Kalba Beach, Khorfakkan Amphitheater, and others. 81 artistic workshops will also be organised along with the 47s.
