Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's directorial 'The Archies' revealed the one piece of advice she received from her father for her first day at the set of the film.
Suhana plays Veronica "Ronnie" Lodge in the teen musical drama. The diva had graced the stage of quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’, along with the director Zoya and other cast members Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, DOT, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda.
During the conversation, host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan said: "She is Suhana. For the unawares, Suhana is SRK's daughter. Suhana when your family came to know, when you told them that you'll grace KBC, what advice did SRK or Gauri Khan give you? Aside from the advice, what did he tell you about me? He must have misinformed you about me!"
Suhana laughed and said: "They didn't say anything bad. But they asked me to remind you that you have played the role of his father so just ask me easy questions. Please remember that."
The young actress was referring to the 2001 family drama 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...'
Suhana Khan with her mother and brother during the premier of the "Archies' in Mumbai.
Amitabh responded: "Since they have asked me to ask easy questions, but it's a game so l have to ask all kinds of questions."
The 'Brahmastra' actor then said: "Suhana, when you went for the first day of the shoot, what did SRK tell you?" Suhana said: "I'm embarrassed now." Big B shared: "Parents always offer some advice. Especially if they're in the same profession."
Suhana continued: "He asked me to focus on two voices on the set. Just listen to two things while on the set. Firstly, your director. And secondly, your heart. And the rest will fall into place."
Meanwhile, Suhana was left embarrassed as she was not able to answer a question on her superstar father Shah Rukh Khan.
During the Super Sandook round, Zoya, Suhana and Vedang were asked: "Shah Rukh Khan has not yet received which of these honours?"
The options given were: Padma Shri, Legion of Honour, L'Etoile d'Or +, and Volpi Cup. Suhana gave the wrong answer and said 'Padma Shri'. The correct answer was Volpi Cup.
Host of the show Amitabh Bachchan was left surprised by Suhana's cluelessness about her father SRK.
The 'Sarkar' actor said: "The daughter doesn't know what awards her father has received. Her father just told her that the person sitting in front of her has played his father's role. So ask him to take it easy with the questions. I asked such an easy question. But she couldn't answer."
Amitabh continued and said: "And in 2005, Shah Rukh Khan received Padma Shri."
During the gameshow's special segment, a fan asked Suhana: "Who is the coolest and the strictest among your parents?" Suhana said: "Uh, both are pretty cool, but I think my mother is a bit stricter."
Host of the show Amitabh Bachchan said: "I think Shah Rukh is more strict." Suhana asked: "Why?"
The 'Brahmastra' actor then recounted: "You were so small when I went to your house one day to meet Shah Rukh. We had a meeting. A new swimming pool was built in your house. And when I went, Shah Rukh and I were standing next to the swimming pool."
"You came trotting and said that you want to swim. SRK said, 'No, you will not swim.' I asked him to let you go. He said no, and asked you to go back. Since that day, I felt that your dad is stricter. I still remember that incident," said the 81-year-old actor.
Suhana said: "I think that must've been the only time that he said no then." Big B said: "He scolded you too." Suhana got shocked and said: "Scolded me?"
The 'Piku' actor then said: "Yes, you nagged him about it." Suhana shared: "Sir, I don't remember."
Big B added: "Okay. I'm glad you forgot! SRK will be reminded of it when he watches the show."
