Global superstar Ed Sheeran wowed more than 60,000 fans this weekend with two dazzling sold-out shows at The Sevens Stadium on Friday and Saturday night.
The Dubai leg of the singer-songwriter’s record-breaking ‘+ - = ÷ x’ tour made history as the largest combined open-air concert to ever take place in the Emirate.
Performing in his signature in-the-round format, featuring a 360-degree revolving central stage for the first time in the region, Sheeran delighted fans on both nights with a mix of fireworks, flames and two and a half hours of non-stop energy and entertainment.
His enjoyment was clear for all to see as he covered every inch of the stage while performing some of his biggest hits, including ‘Castle on the Hill,’ ‘Shivers’ and ‘Galway Girl’, with the latter delivered alongside a guest violinist who joined him on stage.
The singer-songwriter was supported by fellow Brit Calum Scott, who opened both nights with his new single ‘Lighthouse’ and performed other popular hits including ‘Dancing On My Own,’ ‘You Are The Reason’ and ‘Where Are You Now’.
Presented by All Things Live Middle East and AEG Presents and supported by Dubai Calendar and Coca-Cola Arena, the two Dubai shows were Sheeran’s first performances in the UAE since 2017.
