Bollywood star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have confirmed that they are all set to welcome their first bundle of joy in September.
Ranveer and Deepika took to their respective Instagram, where they made the announcement. They shared an e-car, which has balloons, baby onesies, lollipops and booties made on it with pastel colours.
The card has "September 2024. Deepika and Ranveer” written on it. For the caption they chose, two folded hands and evil eye emoticons.
It was on Feb.20, when speculation about having their first baby went viral on the internet. It was reported that Deepika is in her second trimester.
The pair's desire for parenthood was not unknown, in an interview in 2023, the Pathaan alum said that she and Ranveer adored children and that parenthood was definitely on the cards for them.
"Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family," she told the publication.
She elaborated, "When I meet the people I have grown up with—my aunts, uncles, family friends—they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing. In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home."
"I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children."
