Disha Patani, who will be seen in the multi-starrer upcoming science fiction film “Kalki 2898 AD,” shared a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes of the movie’s shoot in Italy, and it has a happy sneak peek of the lead actor Prabhas. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C Aswani Dutt, under Vyjayanthi Movies.
It stars Prabhas in the lead role, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. Taking to Instagram, Disha, who enjoys 61.1 million followers, dropped a string of photos and videos from the movie’s shoot schedule in Italy. The first video shows Disha wrapped in a thick purple coloured blanket, while she braves chilly winds near the seaside. The second picture is a random picture with director Nag Ashwin and Prabhas. There is a picture of Disha getting her makeup done in the car. A selfie with Prabhas is just so heartwarming. It shows Disha in a black hoodie, while Prabhas is sporting a grey hoodie and a black bandana on his head. Disha also dropped some picturesque glimpses of the mountainous landscape. The post is captioned: “Italy photo dump… @kalki2898ad it was (chilly face, wind emoji).”
On the work front, Disha was last seen in “Yodha,” starring Sidharth Malhotra and Raashii Khanna. She also has “Kanguva” and “Welcome To The Jungle” in the pipeline. Filmmaker Nag Ashwin had announced that his upcoming mythology inspired sci-fi film “Kalki 2898 AD” starring Prabhas is all set to release on May 9. The makers of “Kalki 2898 AD” executed a grand release date announcement through raiders across multiple cities Pan-India, including Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Madurai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bhimavaram, Kashmir, and Vijayawada. During the event, the raiders marched together, building anticipation and unveiled the scroll in a unique and exciting way, announcing the film’s release date as May 9, 2024. Meanwhile, Disha, who played an air hostess in the adrenaline-pumping action film “Yodha,” recalled playing volleyball with lead actor Sidharth Malhotra during the shoot breaks. Disha, who was in the national capital recently, along with Sidharth and Raashii Khanna to promote their film, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, looked resplendent in a white silk saree and a matching embellished sleeveless blouse with a sweetheart neckline.
Talking about the fun thing they did during the shoot of the movie, Disha said: “We shot the entire schedule in the plane, and anytime we used to have a break we used to play Volleyball on the set. So that was the fun thing we had.” Sidharth went on to share how Disha did not miss out on her workouts on the sets of ‘Yodha’.
He said: “I remember I shot for 10 days, and then Disha’s sequence came. She came on set, we were standing in a studio in Mumbai. There was a vanity van, (and) a basic tent setup for food.”
