Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently basking in the success of her recent hit “Crew,” is a ‘forever fan girl’ of Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit recently performed at the Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai, sending concert-goers into a frenzy. The event took place at the MMRDA R2 Ground in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area. Kareena, who has earlier worked with Diljit in “Udta Punjab” and “Good Newwz,” took to the Stories section of her Instagram and uploaded a video from the gig. She wrote on the video, “Fan girl forever”.
In the video, Diljit can be heard saying, “Hoyegi Beyonce, hoyegi Rihanna, saddi taan ae hi hai Kareena”. The actor-singer also performed the song “Naina” from “Crew.”
Several Bollywood celebrities, including comedian Maniesh Paul, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Taapsee Pannu, Iulia Vantur and singer Harshdeep Kaur attended the concert. Auteur Imtiaz Ali, who returned back to his form with the recent Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra-starrer streaming film “Amar Singh Chamkila” was also present at the event. Diljit is currently ruling the roost with his slew of musical hits and “Amar Singh Chamkila” adding another feather to his cap.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently appeared in the movie “Crew,” shared her Sunday plans, which consist of nothing but yoga. Taking to Instagram, where “Bebo” enjoys 12.2 million followers, she shared a photo of herself doing chakrasana.
Kareena is wearing a neon pink sports bra and black tights. The post is captioned: “Sunday plans? Yoga for me… Crew for you #ChakrasanaSeries.” The female buddy comedy film “Crew” revolves around three air hostesses who embark on a thrilling journey in an attempt to pull off a heist. The film stars Tabu, Kareena, and Kriti Sanon. The movie also features special appearances by Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. Backed by Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Film & Communications Network, ‘Crew’ is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan.
Meanwhile, Kareena has shared that her iconic character of Geet from the cult-classic film “Jab We Met” inspired a lot of people owing to her confidence. The actress recently appeared on the “Beer Biceps” podcast and said, “Geet has inspired people because she is lovable but also has a certain level of confidence.
She thought, ‘I’ll run away, I’ll get married to that guy’, that’s the level of confidence. And I guess that is in me as well.” She further mentioned that Geet thought from her heart, and in current times people have started thinking through their minds more and have cut down on thinking through the heart. She also spoke about the impact of “Jab We Met” and shared how she still receives messages appreciating her work and the film to this day.
Talking about the impact of the film, which was re-released recently, Kareena said: “People have recited the whole film like a book. They were saying the dialogues one after the other not just mine but also of Shahid’s and other characters as well. Very few films in a person’s career have that impact.”
