Actress Mrunal Thakur has heaped praise on the team behind “Kalki 2898 AD.” The actress lauded megastar Amitabh Bachchan as a true “Shahenshah”, described Kamal Haasan as “incredible”, and expressed admiration for Deepika Padukone’s presence on screen. Mrunal, who made a special appearance in the film, took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures, including the film’s poster and scenes from the dubbing session. In her caption, she wrote: “WHAT A FILM!!! Absolutely blown away by the visuals of #Kalki2898AD. The entire team has done a stellar job on this film!! From the cast to the sets, to the music, to the VFX, the costumes — everything is just so well done!”
The actress particularly praised filmmaker Nag Ashwin for his visionary direction. Mrunal went on to praise Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwathama. “Kalki 2898 AD” is approaching the Rs1000- crore mark globally. Regarding Mrunal’s upcoming projects, she will be seen in “Pooja Meri Jaan” alongside Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz. The film revolves around a girl named Pooja who is being stalked.
Mrunal has shared her experience working on the sets of Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD” and said that she has “never seen anything of this scale in India till date.” Mrunal, who makes a special appearance in the film, described the experience as surreal. “Being on the sets of Kalki was surreal,” she said. “I have never seen anything of this scale in India till date. The visual effects and graphics are truly groundbreaking,” said the actress, who plays Divya in the Prabhas-starrer. Mrunal expressed her admiration for the dedication and hard work of the technicians and actors involved in bringing the vision to life. “It is an honour to be part of such a prestigious project,” she added. The film features an extensive star cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles, and is set in the post-apocalyptic world of 2898 AD. Mrunal had earlier shared that she took less than a moment to say “yes” for her cameo in “Kalki 2898 AD.”
“When I was approached for ‘Kalki’, I didn’t even take a moment to say yes,” she said. Amitabh Bachchan has heaped praise on the work done by filmmakers and artists, calling it “so awe-inspiring.”
The cine icon, who is currently being lauded for his impeccable performance as Ashwatthama in the latest release, “Kalki 2898 AD,” took to his blog to share his thoughts. “The dexterity of the work done by filmmakers, the performances of the artists, the work on the Production and presentation, all so awe-inspiring,” he wrote.
The icon shared some pictures from the gates of Jalsa, his home in Mumbai, where a sea of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. On July 7, it was reported that “Kalki 2898 AD,” which is directed by Nag Ashwin and set in the post-apocalyptic world of 2898 AD, is inching towards the Rs1,000 crore mark globally.
