A video of an orangutan called Sandra went viral on the Internet after she was filmed of scrubbing her hands inside her home at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida.
The current global situation due to the coronavirus has led to the increase in hygiene habits.
Even animals were seen indulging in scrubbing and cleaning habits.
Center for Great Apes said on Instagram, “Sandra is taking extra precautions and making sure her hands are extra clean!
Sandra loves bubble bath enrichment and can often be seen scrubbing her habitat and herself!”
Last month, a video of a beaver took the Internet by a storm. The beaver was seen scrubbing his face at a mountain reserve in the US.
Meanwhile, to clarify the rumour that animals may get infected with coronavirus, experts have said that there is no evidence that the virus affects animals.
More than 1 million people have been reported infected by the novel coronavirus across the world and 53,007 have died. Infections have been reported in more than 200 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
