Due to the global pandemic, many of the usual things have been altered to assess the situation better. One of the major changes implemented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a safety measure is wearing a face mask to prevent the spread of disease.
Wearing a mask has become the new normal, everyone seems to have a mask on. Sighting someone not wearing a mask has become foreign and unusual.
Additionally, there has been a growing recognition of the benefits of wearing a mask, which has made most of society take it serious.
Although, communicating with a mask on has been quite challenging many are finding common grounds and living with this new norm.
In order to encourage children to understand the significance of wearing a mask, many stores have been coming out with colourful and enticing designs to appeal to children.
Many brands are making an effort in creating affordable masks out of sustainable materials, which is crucial with everyone using and disposing of the medical-grade masks at a high rate
It is best recommended to leave the medical-grade masks to the professionals to help protect the frontline healthcare workers and essential workers.
With the route, the production and manufacturing of masks are headed it sure will become fashionable, rather than practical at some point.
But it is important to note that wearing a mask should always be accredited as a measure to protect everyone in society and not to be a fashion statement.
