It took Mahmoud Mohamed Ayoub 30 seconds in front of the renowned Hibs Temple in Elkharga, Egypt to complete 56 step ups on a training bench.
This led him to being recognised by Guinness World Records (GWR) as a new world record, breaking the previous record stood at 51.
The 23-year old Egyptian national appeared in a video performing an Official Attempt for Most aerobic step ups in 30 seconds, witnessed by coaches and fellow alumni members.
The global authority on record-breaking achievement said Mahmoud Ayoub has a potential to become a serial Guinness World Records titles breaker.
As a fitness enthusiast, Ayoub has a history of breaking three GWR titles, and still currently holding two of them. Apart from the new one, Ayoub also holds the GWR title of Most hand release pushups with the thumbs in one minute.
After declaring the new title, Ayoub said: “As a fitness enthusiast and graduate from Faculty of Sports, I always looked up at Guinness World Records titleholders as superhumans, and it never crossed my mind I would ever be one of them.
Then I started to realize that world records are varied, and if you search carefully there are ones that are within reach and achievable.
