It’s a bird! No. It’s Superman! No. Think again. It’s a plane! Well, to be precise, it’s a super-duper car that converts into a super-duper aircraft. Welcome to the world of the AirCar.
A flying car has been the dream for many. It was last perhaps seen in the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. However, it seemed like a no-frills car, wending its way through buildings, not the advanced cracker of a multipurpose vehicle that this one appears to be.
Klein Vision, a firm in Slovakia, has designed the AirCar, according to a report on an Indian TV news channel website.
It’s a really funky, futuristic car, with all the technological trappings, the kind that one sees mostly in a Bond film. The AirCar is capable of running on both land and air. The AirCar weighs 1,100kg and can carry an additional load of 200kg.

A video shows the road vehicle changing into an air vehicle in less than 3 minutes. It’s nothing short of technical wizardry as the tech-driven car races down a road before transforming into a plane and taking flight.
The AirCar can reach a speed of up to 200 km/h.
Its test flights were conducted at Piestany Airport in Slovakia recently.
"Very impressive. Finally a practical flying car that's beautiful. Congratulations Professor Klein & team," wrote one person in the comments section.
