Bollywood movies have a global appeal. They are a mix of melodrama, romance, thrills and thumping beats. The song picturisations are one of a kind, marked by colourful locales and dancers. The foot-tapping numbers are popular not just in India, but other parts of the world as well. That includes New Zealand as well.
The Wellington Indian Association is a community organisation that was established in 1925 to foster Indian culture for Indians in Wellington.
The association organised a cultural event which had officers from The New Zealand Police College dance to Bollywood numbers.
In the video the officers are seen dancing to the tunes of songs like ‘Ladki Beautiful ho gayi chul’ and the famous ‘Kaala Chashma.'
Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit shared the video on her official social media account and highlighted the community’s effort.
