British musician Paul Barton has used the power of his music for an unusual but a powerful cause.
The 59-year-old pianist plays the piano to an audience of hungry monkeys in Thailand’s Lopburi .
Lopburi is an area with many monkeys that usually feed on what tourists give them during their visit to the temple around the area.
But because of the on-going coronavirus pandemic, the tourists have reduced drastically in number, leaving the monkeys hungry most times.
Barton plays the piano for monkeys that occupy abandoned historical areas.
Barton aims to calm the hungry monkeys with his music, which is his small contribution to help them.
Barton, who is from Yorkshire in northern England, was surprised to see how the monkeys gathered around him and carefully listened to him play.
Monkeys are his latest audience, having played Bach, Schubert, Chopin, and Beethoven for more than a decade to elephants at retirement sanctuaries.
