Irish fashion designer and royal hat-maker Philip Treacy brings glamour with his collection despite pandemic

Designer Philip Treacy, a hatmaker to many British royals and stars, showcased his latest hat collection, saying we all need entertainment amid the pandemic.

Treacy, who has some royal clients on his list, including the queen and Duchess of Cambridge and stars like Madonna, showcased his collection at Russia’s largest private museum.

The Saint Petersburg's Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art had celebrated their 10th anniversary, and the 53-year-old Irish designer was there to help them spread smiles.

Treacy, who strongly feels that hats are all about elegance and beauty, mentioned that the residents of Saint Petersburg understand the power of the hat as they lived in beautiful cities.

Forty-six pieces of the designer's work feature in the "Maestro Philip Treacy" exhibition which opens on Friday and will run until March 21.
