Controversy seems to always dog America’s ‘First Daughter’ Ivanka Trump, the self-styled ambassador of fashion and glamour and a ‘power point’ who speaks as though she were the head of a company.
Not long ago, she praised an Indian teenager who carried her father on the back of her bicycle for hundreds of kilometres after the coronavirus blocked their savings. She was one of the many out-of-work migrant families leaving the big cities for their homes in other parts of India.
“15-yr-old Jyoti Kumari carried her wounded father to their home village on the back of her bicycle covering +1,200 km over 7 days. This beautiful feat of endurance & love has captured the imagination of the Indian people and the cycling federation!” Ivanka tweeted.

Her comment, however, sparked criticism in India – she was slammed for being insensitive to the plight of impoverished migrant workers struggling during a lockdown.
Ivanka Trump was booed in Berlin when she described her father Donald as a “tremendous champion of supporting families” and said she was still fine-tuning her role as first daughter and informal White House adviser.
The list of people from whom Democrats sought documents for a corruption investigation of the president covers a who’s who of Trump family members and associates. But Ivanka Trump was omitted, even though former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen told lawmakers last week he briefed her numerous times about a Trump skyscraper project in Moscow.
She could conceivably be targeted next.
Now, she is apparently being treated like a social pariah in her former hometown. Ivanka Trump should not expect a warm welcome back in New York after a string of “Not Wanted” posters appeared across Manhattan.
Donald Trump’s daughter has faced fierce criticism for not preventing her father from implementing a string of controversial policies, including child separation at the US border.
Now the frontier-style signs have appeared in New York just weeks before her father is due to leave the White House.
They are the work of the Good Liars comedy duo of Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler and mock among other things her “fake posh” accent.
Her husband, senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, also gets targeted and is referred to as fictional supernatural character Slender Man.
Ivanka and Jared are reportedly already thinking of avoiding a return to New York and have eyed relocating to either New Jersey or Florida in January.
A former friend of Ivanka’s anonymously told Vanity Fair that she would face being shunned by Manhattan’s social elite if she tried to return to the city.
“Everyone with self-respect, a career, morals, respect for democracy — or who doesn’t want their friends to shame them both in private and public — will steer clear,” they said.
