In a world where every brand has jumped on growing its digital presence to increase visibility for its products, Bottega Veneta decided to leave social media.
With no explanation, Bottega Veneta, the Italian luxury brand that is led by Daniel Lee deleted its Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts on Tuesday.

Now more than ever, brands have understood that it is not enough to just have a physical presence, social media presence is very vital and brands are working tirelessly to merge the two.
Lee is known for his little to no interest in social media. From his experience working with offline Phoebe Philo at Celine to making comments about “not believing in digital fashion shows,” it was not much of a surprise to see Bottega Veneta go dark.

Although Bottega Veneta has deleted its social media accounts, it won’t stop influencers and celebrities from crediting it when it is part of their outfits. So, its personal page might have gone dark but its social media footprints won't be erased anytime soon.
