According to a well-known Indian television channel, the couple booked an entire chartered flight from Madurai to Bengaluru and got married mid-air in a ceremony that has gone viral on social media. The bride was seen bedecked with flowers and jewellery while the groom had donned traditional South Indian attire.
The kith and kin and friends of the couple were travelling on the flight which appeared to be full. Most of the passengers were seen without masks, in a breach of coronavirus regulations.
The groom tied the mangalsutra, a set of black beads held together by a yellow thread or a gold chain along with a golden pendant, around the bride's neck and got photographed with his new bride.
