A motorist on a highway in Bangalow, New South Wales, Australia, faced a strange incident: his car camera recorded a hammer coming from an unknown location and hitting his windshield.
In the details, an old man was travelling in his car at a speed of 100 kilometres per hour on the Pacific Motorway highway on May 19, along with his grandson. The grandson published the video online, and said: “The hammer fell on the windshield of the car, fortunately my grandfather was not injured.”
A videograb shows the hammer visible at a distance.
Some social media viewers commented on the video, saying that a person threw the hammer at the car from the front while others said that a person hiding in the woods threw it.
Tushar Kathuria commented on the video, “At 0:07 in full hd resolution and at .25x speed we can clearly someone in getting up and throwing hammer from Sun roof...”
Brian Quinlan said, “Slow it down and go frame by frame, and you can see the hammer was tossed by someone hiding in the medium. The hammer was launched from in front of the truck. It didn't come from the bed of the truck. Some teenage boy or homeless person is probably responsible.”
DeeJay1210 said, “Thats some Final Destination shit right there!”
The SUV’s windshield cracked after the hammer hit the car.
Sandra Jones said, “If this was done intentionally, that's even worse than an accident.
“I had a railroad spike hit the windshield of my car and I thought the boy in my front passenger seat was dead, but it didn't even crack the windshield.
“I was very relieved. The guy in the SUV said he thinks his vehicle kicked it up off the road.
I'm happy you weren't hurt. If this was intentional, the next people may not be as fortunate.”
