A South African woman entered the Guinness World Records list after breaking a record for having 10 children at the same time, according to local media.
Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, who lives in Gauteng, gave birth to ten babies at 29 weeks of pregnancy.
The decuplets were in good health.
According to the doctors, the ultrasound initially showed that she would have six children, and another examination was conducted, which revealed that the number was 8 children, and in the end Sithole gave birth to 7 boys and 3 girls.
The unemployed father of the newborns, Tebogo Tsotetsi, expressed his happiness, stressing that he was lucky that God had blessed him with so many children.
The pregnancy passed naturally, and the delivery took place by Caesarean section. According to doctors, such a birth is the result of fertility treatment with the introduction of several fertilised embryos into the uterus to increase the patient's chances of conceiving.
At first, the mother was shocked when she knew that she would give birth to ten, but she soon took it in stride.
This is not Sithole's first birth. She already has two 6-year-olds.

The babies and their 25-year-old mother were “doing well” after the birth, the minister said in a statement.
Halima Cisse had been expected to have seven babies, with ultrasounds missing the other two.
The 25-year-old gave birth to nine babies on Tuesday in Morocco, where she had been transferred, according to the Independent.
All babies were delivered by caesarean section.
Cisse’s case has fascinated the West African nation and attracted the attention of its leaders.
