British luxury fashion house Burberry announced on Monday that the brands chief executive Marco Gobbetti will leave the group by the end of the year.
The officer is to return to Italy.
The announcement was made after the luxury group had had a good recovery post the coronavirus pandemic low.
Burberry announced that the chairman and the board were disappointed with the news of the chief resigning from his position.
But were understanding of the situation as the chief decided to go back to Italy of staying abroad for nearly 20 years.
Gobbetti said in a statement that since the brand is doing well it was the right time for him to step down.
