Residents flock to tourist attractions in Khorfakkan on Eid Al Adha

The distinguished tourist attractions of Khorfakkan attracted the crowds of East Coast visitors and residents on the second day of Eid.

Residents enjoyed near the sea and archaeological areas, while several tourists and visitors preferred to camp on Al Aqah Beach in the municipality of Dibba Al Fujairah.

Visitors enjoyed Khorfakkan's crescent-shaped beach, extended to 3 kilometres, for endless choices of fun in the water, from fishing and diving to parasailing and kayaking.

It is one of the most popular Sharjah tourist places and weekend getaways in the UAE, with activities for every kind of traveller.

Lined with palm trees and facing glittering waters, the sand makes a great playground for adults and children with swing sets and football goalposts.

Additionally, other wonderful tourism sites in Khorfakkan witnessed footfall of large numbers of visitors individually and groups from different cities of the country.

The Corniche has all the natural attractions such as a beautiful sandy beach, lush trees, green spaces that delighted the onlookers, and water games for adults and children, which drew crowds.

There were many visitors to the eastern region, particularly the mountain waterfall and the Roman amphitheatre that overlooks the Corniche.

Several visitors from different emirates expressed their fascination with the tourist attractions of Khorfakkan.

The city has many recreational facilities, archaeological and heritage monuments, such as the Resistance Monument, the Al-Adwani, Al-Rabi towers, the heritage village, and the old wall.

There was a huge turnout at the Kalba beach.

They praised the smooth flow of traffic compared to the congestion during Eid al-Fitr.

The police patrols succeeded with their early readiness and strict preparations by intensifying traffic patrols and deploying policemen in clearing the traffic jams.

The sudden rise in temperatures on the second day of Eid prompted residents to visit the city's major commercial centres.

The Kalba Corniche, which stretches to about 10 kilometres and was recently opened, attracted a large number of families. They enjoyed the green areas, various games, beautiful walkways, magical sand, and its umbrellas.

The park is equipped with a barbecue facility.
