The famous Italian fashion company Liu Jo has filed a lawsuit against American model Kendall Jenner, accusing her of violating the terms of a modeling contract that requires her to appear in two photo sessions.
A representative of the top model fired back against a $1.8 million suit from Liu Jo.
The official said a claim that she had breached terms of a modelling contract was "without merit."
The lawsuit, filed in US District Court in Manhattan, says Jenner only participated in the first of two planned photo shoots, and did not attend the second, which was originally scheduled for March 2020 but was postponed due to the Corona virus pandemic.
The lawsuit alleges that Liu Jo is seeking damages of at least $1.8 million.
The lawsuit alleges that Liu Jo already paid Jenner $1.35 million for services under the 2019 contract.
The company said it had tried several times to set a new date for the second shoot, but had not received a response from the model.
The company said it was later unable to recover its payments from her.
