A Palestinian grandmother, Jihad Batu, 85, was enrolled in school for the first time when she was 12 but had to quit school because of the displacement of Palestinians in 1948.
After decrees, Jihad joined the university in Kafr Bara in 2018 and was graduated with a university degree from the faculty of science.
Jihad or as they call her Umm Suhail was born in 1936 and got married in Nazareth.
She used to study with her sons, and then got educational courses in languages, religion and mathematics.
Jihad, a mother of seven, returned to regular education again at the age of 81 to prove to the world that age is just a number.
Finally, she reached her dream of wearing the graduation coat after receiving her university degree.
She says that she was happier by receiving praise of the faculty dean during the graduation ceremony.
