The best and boldest ‘champagne’ carpet looks at the 2023 Oscars

The prizes for the 2023 Oscars have been handed out, leaving stars of the big screen to party for the rest of the night.

In addition to a star-studded “champagne” carpet that marked a change from the traditional red, this year’s awards, which was helmed by Jimmy Kimmel, featured countless Hollywood’s A-listers, with live music performances from Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

There were plenty of antics as stars arrived at the ceremony, including a heroic moment from Gaga as she rescued a photographer, and a sweet PDA from Nicole Kidman and her husband, country music star Keith Urban.

Presenter Florence Pugh, who has been shutting down red carpets for months with quirk and swagger, pushed the sartorial envelope in a Valentino gown that was all voluminous creamy taffeta on top -- and then slit extra high to reveal a black miniskirt.

And Nobel peace laureate Malala Yousafzai, the executive producer of Oscar-nominated documentary short "Stranger at the Gate," wore a sequined silver hooded Ralph Lauren gown that was ruched at the waist.

Michelle Yeoh

Yeoh arrived on the champagne carpet in a white tulle tiered ball gown for the 95th annual Oscars. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star paired the look with statement earrings and a watch.

The A Star is Born star chose a black sheer corset-panelled gown with a satin ball gown skirt for the Academy Awards. She completed the red carpet look with a red lip and a diamond choker.

Hudson chose a silver glittering gown with statement flutter sleeves for the 2023 Oscars.
