This creature could well make for a new ‘smiley’ emojo. A seal that has been basking in the sun in England has the most unusual expression on its face: it looks as though it is grinning from ear to ear.
The seal was spotted in Ely, a cathedral city in East Cambridgeshire district.
Pictures of the smiling seal went viral on social media.
The person who took the pictures, Sophie Bell, was very thrilled to see him sleep with the greatest smile on earth.
It was only too clear that he was having a great time in the sun.
According to a BBC report, Sophie and her family were on a boat ride along the River Cam to Cambridge when they were told that there was an "elusive seal" that was seen in the area.
As the family returned down the river very slowly, the seal was spotted.
Her husband saw it first and turned the boat around so they could get a better look.
The "happy little chap" looked like he was "living his best life", she said.
