Under the generous patronage of Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Bin Maktoum, the 8the edition of International Pediatric Summit, was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai, witnessed a remarkable presence of doctors and workers in the field of medicine in its various specialties.
More than three thousand doctors registered for the conference, an increase of one thousand doctors over last year. With a percentage of up to half from the Emirates and Gulf countries, doctors from various countries of the world also participated, in addition to fifty sponsors from various international and local companies concerned with children’s health and nutrition. The conference was held from April 26 to April 28 under the special name “Extraordinary Session,” which also discussed the intervention of artificial intelligence in the field of pediatrics, in addition to revealing new achievements in the field of research and treatment.
For his part, Dr Islam Al-Baroudi, Professor and Consultant Pediatrics and Chairman of the Conference, explained that this year the conference included a package of workshops that included blood diseases, neurological diseases, kidney diseases, allergy and immune diseases, the digestive system, nutrition, and premature and neonatal medicine.
The workshops also aimed to develop the capabilities of the medical system from the practical aspect in addition to the academic aspect that was discussed during the conference.
These workshops were directed to specialised doctors to discuss new treatments, including genetic treatments for some rare diseases, treatment of chronic diseases, and artificial intelligence applications that were discussed at the conference, explaining that this development We will soon see the treatment mechanisms in the development of doctors’ performance within clinics and the improvement in recovery rates in noticeable ways.
Dr Islam Al-Baroudi also praised the pioneering role played by the United Arab Emirates in supporting and encouraging everything related to health, especially children.
This pioneering role is evident in the interest in such events that present everything new in the field of pediatrics, and he particularly mentioned the patronage of Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed.
Bin Maktoum, who had the honor of delivering the opening speech, inspected all the participants in the exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference, and praised the effort exerted behind each facade of the conference.

For his part, Dr Sameh Abdel Azim, consultant pediatrician and neonatologist in Abu Dhabi, indicated that the conference is an important scientific event every year in which the latest scientific experiences that have been achieved are exchanged, and research papers from newly graduated doctors are discussed, and what distinguishes the conference this year is the announcement.
