Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, recently seen in the streaming movie “Blind,” attended the Wimbledon Women’s Final in London. Making a fashion statement, the actress exuded elegance and style. For the occasion, she chose a sophisticated striking long yellow, blue, and black dress layered with the Optical Crinkle Cotton Check ensemble from the Pre-Fall 24 collection. The outfit featured a long-sleeved white, blue, and black shirt and a matching long skirt. She accessorised her look with a pair of sleek Tex Mule shoes in black, also from the Pre-Fall 24 collection. The actress’s presence at this year’s event at the historic All England Club added a touch of glamour to the iconic venue renowned for hosting legendary tennis battles. The Wimbledon Championship, which was established in 1877, is the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament.
Adding a touch of exclusivity, Sonam carried the Liberta bag in black from the Winter 24 special preview, making a chic and timeless fashion statement at the prestigious event. “Blind” was a crime thriller film directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Avishek Ghosh, Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, Sachin Nahar, Pinkesh Nahar and Manish W. The film featured Sonam Kapoor in a leading role with Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in supporting roles. “Blind,” was a remake of the Korean film of the same name, centres around a blind police officer in search of a serial killer. The film was premiered on July 7, 2023 on JioCinema.
Meanwhile, on her 39th birthday on June 9, Sonam received a thoughtful gift from her husband, Anand Ahuja, who gave her the first edition of “Gitanjali”, a collection of poetry by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, published in India in 1910. Sonam took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of the iconic book and posted a heartfelt thank you note for her husband. “Birthday present from my amazing husband... First edition of ‘Gitanjali’ by Tagore, translated into English. Thank you @anandahuja. I don’t know what I did to deserve you,” Sonam wrote. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who worked with Sonam in the film “Veere Di Wedding,” also took to her Instagram stories and shared a monochrome picture of them posing and smiling at the camera. “Veere Di Wedding,” released in 2018, stars Kareena and Sonam along with Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania, Sumeet Vyas, Vishwas Kini, and Neena Gupta.
