His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Emmerson Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe, reviewed prospects for accelerating bilateral relations.
This came as the two leaders met on Saturday in Abu Dhabi and exchanged views on the ongoing cooperation levels between the two countries across all fronts, primarily in areas of investment and economy in general, along with discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Sheikh Mohamed noted that the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is displaying particular interest in regard to growing relations with the Republic of Zimbabwe across various domains to the higher good of both sides.
President Mnangagwa hailed the good offices made by the UAE in furtherance of the values of tolerance, inter-faith dialogue and peaceful co-existence among all world peoples.
Earlier Emmerson Mnangagwa arrived on Saturday on a working visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohamed received the distinguished guest at the Presidential Flight.
Sheikh Mohamed hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the top guest and his accompanying delegation. Attending the dinner were Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr Sultan Bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, along with Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi and Lt. General Issa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
From the Zimbabwean side, Sibusiso Busi Moyo Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Mthuli Ncube, Minister of Finance, Winston Chitando, Minister of Mines and Mining Development, and Philip Valerio Sibanda, Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.
A couple of days ago Sheikh Mohamed received, in Al Shati Palace, Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.
At the start of the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Nazarbayev’s visit to the UAE, which will strengthen the relations and cooperation between the two countries and answers the aspirations of their leaderships and peoples.
During the meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, both sides affirmed the friendship between the UAE and Kazakhstan, and discussed promising opportunities in the areas of investment, the economy and culture.
The meeting also addressed several regional and international causes and developments of common interest and exchanged opinions regarding them.
Sheikh Mohamed said that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been keen, since its establishment, to promote communication and cooperation with various countries, to discuss their mutual interests and achieve overall development and advancement while pointing out that the country has established solid relations with friendly countries, based on mutual respect, trust and constructive cooperation.
The Kazakhstan President expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE, asserting the importance of the friendship and cooperation bringing together his country and the UAE in all aspects, and Kazakhstan’s interest in broadening their horizons.
He praised the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 hosted by the UAE, which is considered an international sporting, cultural and humanitarian forum, valuing the country’s role and international qualitative initiatives which make a real difference to the different targeted segments.
After the conclusion of the meeting Sheikh Mohamed and Nazarbayev witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Intent between the Ministry of Energy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Prime Project Development Consultancy.
