Pakistan PM Imran Khan comes to the rescue of homeless woman

Soon after taking oath as prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan promised to uplift the underprivileged segment of the society.

Keeping his pledge, he built shelters for the homeless in the cities and provided the poor with adequate facilities.

Recently, a video of an old homeless woman appealing to Imran Khan for the shelter went viral on social media and caught attention of the premier and he ordered the authorities to make adequate arrangements for the poor lady.

In a tweet, Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad wrote:

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan has personally called the lady. She talked to him on video call. Directions have been received. MD Baitul Mal is on site and resolving all the issues Alhamdolillah."

The video of the woman was posted by a citizen showing her requesting the prime minister to provide her a house.

In the video, the woman urges Imran to provide her a house as she has no other option but to live in the woods.

Due to severe poverty the woman is spending her life under the open skies on the outskirts of Islamabad.

Citizens hailed the PM’s move and urged to do more for the poor.
