ABU DHABI: The NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery is pleased to announce a series of Family Saturday Tours – a guided tour by an NYUAD student docent or a guide from the Gallery – which commences next Saturday, March 30.
Running throughout the duration of the exhibition, the weekly tour on Saturdays is an opportunity for children between the ages of 3-14 to explore Zimoun with their parents.
At the beginning of every tour, each participant will receive a youth guide, and a small box with materials – an art start-up kit for children – to help them create Zimoun-inspired artworks using simple, everyday materials that can be found at home.
This exhibition features five major sound-sculpture installations by acclaimed Swiss artist Zimoun.
The NYUAD Art Gallery youth guides are developed for every exhibition by NYUAD Art Gallery Assistant Director of Publications Alaa Edris in collaboration with an artist from the community.
Running until June 1, 2019, this exhibition features five major sound-sculpture installations by acclaimed Swiss artist Zimoun. Curated by Executive Director of the NYUAD Art Gallery, and the University’s Chief Curator Maya Allison, this landmark survey marks the artist’s first presentation in the Gulf.
Including the major new commission of an expansive room-sized installation specifically for this show, Zimoun features a total of five site-specific installations.
