UAE bears treatment costs of 62 injured Yemenis in Indian hospitals

ADEN: Sixty-two injured Yemenis, along with their companions, have left Aden to complete their treatment in Indian hospitals, at the expense of the United Arab Emirates.

The humanitarian gesture is in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The UAE is bearing the treatment costs as part of its constant efforts to ease the suffering of Yemeni people, stand with them in their difficult times, and improve their humanitarian conditions and support them against the crimes committed against them by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

Wounded Yemenis appreciated the UAE’s humanitarian stance.

The number of injured Yemenis who were treated by UAE reached 11,000 in India, Egypt, Jordan, and Sudan. The UAE has also dispatched medical and relief convoys in support of its brethren in Yemen.

The UAE’s humanitarian and relief programme provides essential food, medicine, and medical supplies to improve the health conditions of Yemeni brothers in coordination with regional and international humanitarian organisations currently on the Yemeni arena.
