ABU DHABI: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, issued four resolutions on the restructuring of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Council, the formation of the Abu Dhabi Committee for Strategic Affairs, restructuring of the Executive Committee and the restructuring of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority. The resolutions were published in the latest edition of the Official Gazette, issued by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed issued Resolution No. (1) of 2019 concerning the restructuring of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Council, headed by Ahmed Ali Mohamed Al Sayegh. This decision is effective from the date of its issuance. It was issued on 10 January 2019.
His Highness issued Resolution No. (2) of 2019 regarding the formation of the Abu Dhabi Committee for Strategic Affairs, to be affiliating to the Executive Council under the chairmanship of Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This decision is effective from the date of its issuance. The decree was issued on January 21, 2019.
His Highness also issued Resolution No. (3) of 2019 concerning the restructuring of the Executive Committee, headed by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This decision is effective from the date of its issuance. The decree was issued on January 21, 2019.
He also issued Resolution No. (4) of 2019 regarding the restructuring of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority under the chairmanship of Jabr Mohammed Ghanem Al Suwaidi. This decision is effective from the date of its issuance. The decree was issued on January 30, 2019.
Recently, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed issued a decision to restructure Abu Dhabi’s National Rehabilitation Centre Board of Directors.
The new board structure includes the following members: Abdullah Abdullah Al Humaidan, Brigadier Abdul Moneim Al Sayed Al Hashemi. It also includes representatives from the Medical Office of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; the Department of Health; the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, and the Department of Community Development.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also issued a decision appointing Hamad Ali Mohammed Al Dhaheri as Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, as well as Salamah Ajlan Al Amimi as Director-General of the Community Contributions Authority, Ma’an, and Abdulkarim Abdul Rahim Al Raessi as Director-General of the Integrated Transport Centre.
In an unrelated development, Sheikh Mohamed recently received the Higher Committee and the organisers of the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.
While receiving the delegations at the Qasr Al Bahr Majlis, Sheikh Mohamed said that the efforts of the event’s Higher Committee, organisers, local and international volunteers, partners and supporters represented the UAE’s civility and its stature in organising and hosting such international events, according to the highest international standards.
“Thank you to all who contributed to achieving the goals of the Olympics and delivering the UAE’s humanitarian message to the world about the importance of solidarity with people of determination and empowering them in their communities, which will enable them to participate and be active,” he said.
Sheikh Mohamed added that the success of the UAE’s hosting of the Special Olympics crowns its efforts to empower people of determination, integrate them into the community, and activate their overall role in the national job market, as they are partners in achieving the country’s development and advancement while asserting that supporting people of determination has become part of the country’s strategic plans.
Recently, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed approved Dhs5.6 billion in support of the Research and Development, R&D, scheme as part of the Ghadan 21 programme.
Sheikh Mohamed directed the Executive Committee of the Executive Council to build international partnerships that would accelerate Abu Dhabi’s endeavours to provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing the world.
