ABU DHABI: A number of new UAE Ambassadors to brotherly and friendly countries were sworn in on Tuesday before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohammed wished the ambassadors success in their new assignments to serve the interests of the country and its people.
He also urged them to exert all possible efforts to serve the Emirati people who travel abroad to receive medical treatment, students in foreign universities, businessmen and UAE tourists during visits, and to meet their needs during their presence in the countries concerned.
The new ambassadors pledged their loyalty to the state and its President, to show respect for the constitution and laws, and to place the country's interests over any other considerations while performing their diplomatic tasks with a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Those who took oath of the office were the UAE Ambassador to Poland, Dr. Abdul Rahim Yousef Al Awadhi; the UAE Ambassador to Jordan, Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al-Balushi and the UAE Ambassador to Italy, Omar Obaid Mohammed Al Shamsi.
Mansour Abdullah Khalfan Belhoul, the UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom; Abdullah Ali Ateeq Al-Sabousi, the UAE Ambassador to Australia; Saeed Matar Sultan Al Sairi, the UAE Ambassador to Uganda; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Ambassador to Sweden; Majed Hassan Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Spain; Hamad Ghanim Al Muhairi, the UAE Ambassador to Mauritania; and Fatima Obaid Al Kalbani, the UAE Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO, in Rome.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
