Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, inaugurated the debut edition of “Azyan” Exhibition and Conference at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC), in Sharjah on Thursday. The beauty, fashion and wellness event will run till April 21.
Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi underlined the need to harness science and technology in the field of beauty and health. It was also necessary to ensure that responsible behaviour and sustainable practices were followed to safeguard the health of women.
Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi said, “We aspire women in the UAE society to be an example in all aspects of life, being role models for children at home, for their colleagues at the workplace, and for the younger generation of girls. In Sharjah we endeavour to create awareness among women, because their behaviour and attitudes influence not only their family, but the society as a whole.”
Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi added, “It is imperative to nurture a love for genuine beauty and its value from childhood so as to shape younger generations’ aesthetic consciousness.”
She urged the new generation of fashion designers, health and beauty experts to explore opportunities to develop these sectors, ethically and sustainably.
Sheikha Jawaher noted: “Emirati women have embraced other cultures without losing their identity. They have taken the best of what has been passed down to them by their culture and adopted new concepts, creating a harmony between physical appearance and spiritual essence as the foundation for beauty and elegance.”
Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi toured the exhibition’s stands where she was briefed on the new innovations being showcased by local and international exhibitors. Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi also attended the exclusive fashion show presented by “Ounass”, the Middle East’s first luxury website offering the world’s most exclusive brands.It showcased the latest Ramadan and the Spring-Summer 2019 collection, in addition to the luxurious jewellery collection by French luxury jewellery house “Boucheron”.
