Fuel prices in the UAE continued rising for May-2019 with the petrol price per litre rising 25 fils and diesel per litre by 4 fils.
The Fuel Price Follow-up Committee at the Ministry of Energy and Industry approved the fuel prices for the month of May including the value added tax as follows: The price of Super 98 rose to Dhs2.48 per litre for May, up from Dhs2.23 in April, while the price of Special 95 rose to Dhs2.34 per litre for May, up from Dhs2.11 in March. E-Plus 91 will be available for Dhs2.25 per litre. Diesel prices rose to Dhs2.53 per litre for May, up from Dhs2.49 in April.
The price of Opec basket of fourteen crudes stood at $72.38 a barrel on Friday, 26th April, compared with $74.04 the previous day, according to Opec Secretariat calculations.
The fourteen crudes, from separate Opec member countries, include a mix of blends and light and heavy crudes, including the UAE’s Murban.
