Dubai holds Islamic cultural evening

The Cultural and Scientific Association in Dubai has organised a great Ramadan evening for Islamic music and chanting of Sultan Al Aarfeen band for the prominent singer Mundhir Ghannam, along with other singers such as Abdul Rahman Halawany, Ahmed Kaima, Munzer Olabi, and Abdul Majeed Abdulla. This event comes as part of the association’s Ramadan programme, which includes scientific and cultural evenings that host an elite of innovative specialists, along with religious and national activities at the association.

The event by was attended by Bilal Al Budoor, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ali Obaid Al Hamli, Vice President, Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, along with other fans of spiritual chanting based on praising of the Prophet (PBUH) and his inspirational biography, and addressing people’s emotions in order to approach God, as well as sincere prayers for Almighty to accept Du’aa.

Al Hamli stated that the association has traditionally celebrated the Holy Month of Ramadan every year, by organising activities that connects and strengthen the spirituality of this great month, as well as addressing the emotional side among the fasting people and bring them closer to God. This Holy Month comes with a spiritual atmosphere that makes it suitable to approach God, and pray for him to accept people’s fasting, good deeds, and other acts.

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture, successfully wrapped the ninth edition of SIKKA Art Fair (SIKKA), with a record attendance of over 62,000 visitors over a span of nine days.

The fair, a pillar event of the Authority’s annual flagship art initiative Dubai Art Season (DAS), was organised under the patronage of HH Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture.

Held at the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, the fair, themed ‘An open window to art and tolerance,’ aligned with the annual national celebration of the ‘Year of Tolerance.’

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “It is with great pleasure that we announce the conclusion of SIKKA, especially as it builds upon the success of its previous editions, attracting a record number of visitors, artists, and volunteers.

Supporting and showcasing the works of UAE- and GCC-based artists, the fair aligned perfectly with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
