IBPC Dubai marks ‘Day of Giving’

The Indian Business& Professional Council (IBPC), Dubai, celebrated Suhoor gathering with the Al Noor Training Center, Dubai, and made a contribution of Dhs100,000 for the benefit of the determined students of Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities.

The Suhoor gathering was part of the IBPC Dubai’s annual activities as the eminent group of Indian expatriates has been featuring a philanthropic institution during the holy month of Ramadan for Suhoor every year. In 2018, the Al Jalila Foundation was featured among the members of leading India business and professional community.

Nimish Makvana, President of IBPC Dubai, thanked the Rulers of the UAE and extended Ramadan wishes to all the Emirati dignitaries.

He applauded the UAE Rulers for promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence ever since the country’s formation. “The Year of Tolerance embodies the approach adopted by the UAE since its establishment to be a bridge of communication between the people of the world and their various cultures, in an environment of openness and respect that rejects extremism and promotes coexistence,” he said.

Mohan Valrani, Governance Board Member of IBPC, opined that the shortest way to happiness is giving. He proposed that IBPC annual Suhoor be celebrated as ‘IBPC Day of Giving’ every year supporting a philanthropic institution.

Mirza Al Sayegh, Patron of IBPC, proclaimed the contributions of the Indian community in the UAE and applauded the role of Indian in the development of the Emirates. “Let us build our countries together and work jointly for the betterment of our communities,” he said.

Consul General of India in Dubai Vipul said that Ramadan is synonymous to sharing and giving. He highlighted the growing ties between India and the UAE and expressed his pleasure on the UAE celebrating the Year of Tolerance coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi who practised and promoted the virtue of tolerance.

Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman of Al Noor Training Centre, enlightened the august gathering about the good work and activities of the training centre and the various initiatives taken up by the Al Noor team to educate their 250 students and to make them life ready. He also briefed about the various ways in which the community can contribute.
