Muslim family names child after PM Modi

There seems to be no end to the growing charisma of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had won himself a second stint in the recently concluded parliamentary elections.

No doubt that Modi’s fan following has increased manifolds after his thumping electoral victory and on Thursday, the day poll results were declared, an unexpected fan was added to this list.

He is a newborn in a Muslim family who was named Narendra Modi by his parents.

A leading news agency ANI tweeted “Family names their newborn son 'Narendra Modi'. Menaj Begum, the mother said, "My son was born on 23 May, I called my husband who is in Dubai & he asked 'Has Narendra Modi won?' so I named my son Narendra Modi. I want my son to do good work like Modi ji & be as successful as him."

The family has named their newborn after the Indian PM as he was born on the day (May 23) the Modi-led BJP decimated opposition with a landslide victory.

The child’s father insisted that his child be named after the PM as he was impressed by the good work Modi had done in his first term.
