Orphans enjoy evening with Iftar

To spread the true message of the holy month of Ramadan, philanthropists from the corporate sector and individuals are hosting Iftar evenings for orphan children.

Sheikh Abdul Malik Bin Kayed al Qasimi, Special Adviser to Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, hosted in his private Majlis a group of orphans registered with Dar al-Ber Society branch in Ras Al Khaimah on Friday, in the al-Zahra area, on Zayed Day for humanitarian work.

The reception of orphans by Sheikh Abdul Malik Bin Kayed Al Qasimi was on the occasion of Zayed Day for humanitarian work, and in order to strengthen the presence of the late, God willing, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May God have mercy on him, in the memory of the nation and its sons, and to recall his values and principles and his national and humanitarian accomplishments.

Waleed Abdullatif Al Shehhi, deputy director of Dar Al-Ber Society in Ras Al Khaimah, expressed the appreciation and thankfulness of the society to Sheikh Abdul Malik Bin Kayed for hosting the orphans, believing in the Prophet’s, peace be upon him, Hadeeth: (“I and the orphan sponsor in paradise like this “, pointing with his forefinger and middle finger).

Iftar gathering for orphan kids from Al Maktoum Charitable Organisation:In line with the ‘Year of Tolerance’ initiative, Mercato hosted an Iftar gathering for orphan kids from Al Maktoum Charitable Organisation (Sawaed Al -Khair) at Azkadenya restaurant in collaboration with RCG–meida.

 The special event saw over 25 children, aged between 7 – 14 years old, enjoy a delicious meal and have a fun evening together. Additionally, at the event Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Dalmok Al Maktoum and Mercato generously gifted the children as the orphans enjoyed a wonderful Iftar in a lively atmosphere of joy and gifts that reminded them of the kindness and selflessness instilled in all of us. Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Al Maktoum added, “It is one of the greatest challenges for children to be without their parents and through this Iftar event we wanted to show them that they still have a network of emotional and practical support and care; our objective is to put a smile on the faces of those in need, to simply make them feel part of our society.”
