Dar Al Ber Society has sponsored a Ramadan charitable project of Iftar for fasting people in Chad, in cooperation and coordination with the UAE Embassy there, and in response to the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Yousef Al-Yateem, Director of Charity Projects at Dar Al-Ber, stressed that the Society is keen to extend the hands of charity and philanthropy to the needy and the poor everywhere in the world today, a sincere translation of the values and instructions of our true religion, the policy and vision of the State and the directives of its prudent leadership.
Al-Yateem stressed the keenness of the society to respond positively to the demands and proposals of the embassies of the State abroad, the various institutions and government departments, private sector institutions and their civil society institutions in the framework of humanitarian philanthropy, in the interest of low-income people around the world, and to minimize their suffering.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the branch of Dar Al Ber Society in Ras Al Khaimah launched the “ Sustenance (Qoot) of Tolerance” initiative, which aims to provide the “Ramadan Foodstuff (Meer)”, which consists of basic food items for the needy families registered with the branch, benefiting 755 families from the Emirate and its residents.
Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Director of Dar Al Ber Branch in Ras Al Khaimah, also launched another event addressed “Eid Feast” for the children enrolled at the branch, benefiting 15 children by providing “Eid Feast sums” for them, in addition to purchase vouchers (coupons) from UAE”s markets in Ras Al Khaimah for their families, which has brought happiness to families and children.
Al Shehi highly thanked and appreciated the sponsors who contributed to the success of the initiative, namely the Ras Al Khaimah Consumer Cooperative Society, the UAE markets in Ras Al Khaimah, and a number of “philanthropists”, stressing the Society’s keenness to perform its role in implementing humanitarian charitable projects and community development programmes which are in favour of the community and the needy families within the UAE.
