His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday hosted a grand ceremony at the Dubai World Trade Centre marking the weddings of his three sons: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
The reception was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; and His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

Attending also were Their Highnesses the Crown Princes, Sheikhs, ministers, top brass and a large number of dignitaries, state and senior officials, tribal chieftains, businessmen, entrepreneurs and heads of top international and Arab companies operating in the UAE.

In a tweet Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on the marriage of his three sons.
“With great happiness and joy... I congratulate my brother Mohammed Bin Rashid for the wedding of his sons Hamdan, Maktoum and Ahmed. The joy of Eid is complete today in this national wedding... I congratulate my children and wish them a happy and joyful family life,” tweeted Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed.

Sheikh Hamdan got married to Sheikha Shaikha Bint Saeed Bin Thani Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed got married to Sheikha Maryam Bint Butti Al Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed got married to Sheikha Madiyah Bint Juma Al Maktoum.
The news of the reception went viral on social media. Photographs of the glittering Zabeel Palace also flooded the social media channels.
Residents across the seven emirates sent greetings on social media platforms to the newly-weds.
Recently, The Burj Khalifa was adorned with the images of Sheikh Mohammed and his sons.

The Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan, born on 14 November 1982, is the second son of Sheikh Mohammed. Sheikh Hamdan descends from the “Al Bu Falasah” clan of the “Bani Yas.” Personal characteristics: The Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan has already established his reputation as a leader. He clearly shows ample leadership characteristics flavoured with the qualities of modesty, simplicity and generosity. In this aspect, Sheikh Hamdan is following in the footsteps of his father, Sheikh Mohammed. He is always keen to meet the people without any restrictions or barriers. He always works to solve their problems and follow up on their matters.
Despite his serious responsibilities, he is present with them in their joys and sorrows. It is quite common to see Sheikh Hamdan driving his car down the streets of Dubai, eating in restaurants or chatting with people. Sheikh Hamdan has been influenced by several factors that have shaped his personality and crystallised his vision.
The military lifestyle in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), one of the world’s finest military academies, taught him discipline and punctuality. About this experience he said: “What you learn in prominent military academies like Sandhurst revolves around the values of discipline, responsibility and commitment. These values are practically essential to carry out your responsibilities competently.” Besides, the various sports that Sheikh Hamdan practises — especially equine sports — have equipped him with qualities of patience and perseverance.
Sheikh Hamdan was raised in a family that highly values equestrian sports – due to the strong spiritual bond people share with horses across the ancient history of Arabia. Riding horses became one of Sheikh Hamdan’s most treasured hobbies since childhood. Naturally, he developed this hobby to clinching the titles of a number of international and regional endurance riding championships.
Sheikh Hamdan received his elementary education at Rashid Private School, Dubai. He then pursued his education in the United Kingdom where he graduated from the prominent Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), one of the world’s finest military academies.
In addition to his military education, Sheikh Hamdan enrolled in several specialised training programmes in economics at the London School of Economics and Dubai School of Government.
