Residents and tourists in Northern Emirates especially of Sharjah and Ajman have been enjoying Eid holidays by spending money as low as Dhs5 and benefitting from multiple choices of food, shopping and entertainment.
The money they spend are returned as AirRewards points.
The recently launched 3-month campaign by City Centres in Ajman and Sharjah have been witnessing a huge turnout during the Eid holidays as more and more residents opt to get the benefit ultimately helping them while travelling.
To unveil more details of the campaign as successful collaboration with Air Arabia this year by launching an exclusive AirRewards campaign with a range of exciting benefits for regular shoppers, Yahya Mohamed Saleh, Mall Manager, Shopping Malls told Gulf Today that for the first time in the Northern Emirates, customers can collect points to redeem for baggage allowance, meals and free flights on Air Arabia while one winner will walk away with 1,000,000 points in a raffle draw to be held on July 31.
“The three-month long initiative will allow frequent shoppers at the mall to collect AirRewards points on every spend of Dhs5 until July 31. A grocery haul of just Dhs75 at Carrefour can get customers a hot meal on their next flight with Air Arabia or points collected from the purchase of an Dhs450 summery outfit for their next vacation can go towards free luggage allowance or a seat upgrade with the airline. Shoppers also have the benefit of using their AirRewards points at any time even after the campaign has ended,” he said.
“Air Arabia is the preferred carrier for more than 90 per cent of our shoppers and we want them to enjoy the different services the airline offers for free with this generous AirRewards programme. The more they shop their favourite brands at our malls, the more chances they get to avail free add-ons and travel with Air Arabia,” he pointed.
He further said that “We are always looking at ways to elevate the shopping experience for our customers and give them the opportunity to win exclusive rewards and prizes. Our research shows that Air Arabia is the preferred airline for 90 per cent of our shoppers, making them the perfect partner for shopper benefits. Our collaboration with Air Arabia goes back four years when we first began giving customers a chance to win airline tickets every time they shopped with us in summer. This new programme is an extension of that successful collaboration with the airline,” he said.
To further explain the programme, he said “We have launched an exclusive partnership with Air Arabia to provide a range of exciting benefits for our regular shoppers. The three-month long initiative will allow frequent shoppers at the mall to earn AirRewards points for all their mall purchases. Every 5 AED spent will get the customers 1 point until July 31. For example: Your weekly shopping at Carrefour can get you a hot meal on your next flight with Air Arabia or points collected from the purchase of an outfit can go towards free baggage allowance or a seat upgrade with the airline.
One shopper will also be selected through a draw to win the grand prize of 1,000,000 AirRewards points. That’s Dhs6,732 ($10,000) to spend on airline tickets for an unlimited period.

The mall will come alive with stunning performances by dancers, circus performers and acrobats four times daily from June 4 to 6.
