Pak teachers attend training workshop

A large number of teachers from Pakistan’s community schools have attended the day-long workshop meant to provide insight on their professional development as a career teacher and bring overall improvement in their respective classrooms.

The workshop divided into two sessions was organised by the Education Committee of Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) in its premises.

The main objective of the both sessions was to improve the school leadership and to equip the teachers with the latest teaching methodologies of the 21st century. The first session targeted the teachers to discuss ‘Leaders Workshop and the school Improvement Plan’ and was conducted by Momina Riaz and Saima Umer.

Momina Riaz is a self-driven professional with more than 18 years of experience in corporate and educational sector while Saima Umer has been holding over 10 years’ experience in leadership role in the field of education mainly dealing with UAE national agenda indicator and international assessments.

The second session was ‘Effective Lesson Planning and its Implementation in the classrooms.’

Nazish Sheikh, a prominent educationist, was the resource person of the second session of the training workshop. She is a British qualified educationist having experience of more than 20 years in the education sector in the UK and UAE.

During both the sessions, the trainers through their vast experience in the field of education provided in-depth knowledge and resource material through comprehensive interactive activities.

Consul General of Pakistan was the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants.

Accident victims’ bodies repatriated

In a separate development related to the Pakistani community, Consulate General of Pakistan through its statement has informed that the bodies of two Pakistanis, who died in an accident involving a tourist bus from Oman in Dubai on Thursday (June 6), have been identified as Shafiq from Deira Ghazi Khan and Shehzad Khan, son of Sarfraz Khan from Peshawar.

To complete the process the consulate had issued their NOCs and also cancelled their passports. Shafiq’s body was to be transported to Multan by Airblue on Saturday evening.

The body of Shehzad Khan will be transported to Peshawar after completion of necessary documents.

Another Pakistani national Jamshed Khan had a fracture and left hospital after treatment. The Consulate General staff had reached out to provide all the assistance, the officials said.
