Sharjah Police launch special device to alert motorists about emergency vehicles

Sharjah Police announced on Sunday the launch of a device that will alert motorist about on coming emergency vehicles via their car radios.
The radio messages will be sent in multiple languages and the device will be used in transmitting three types of audio clips.
The first would alert the motorist the coming of an emergency or police vehicle.
The second clip audio clip will inform them a vehicle is parked in front.
The last type of message will alert the motorist to stop because a police vehicle is approaching the intersection.
According to authorities the device will make it easy for rapid response and easy for emergency vehicles to reach their destination within good time.
Drivers are urge to always give way for emergency and official vehicles.
Motorist obstructing the movement of emergency or patrol vehicle will receive Dh3,000 fine. 30-days vehicle impoundment and six black points, he added.
