Two Bangladeshi nationals, a man and a woman have been sentenced to seven years in jail by the Dubai Court of First Instance on Thursday for human trafficking charge.
The duo lured a girl into travelling to Dubai under the pretext of working as a hair dresser in a saloon but they forced her into prostitution.
The duo used a forged passport, which had an older age to bring the 16-year old victim into the UAE.
The victim was locked up in an apartment in Al Muttena and forced to meet men for paid sex.
According to authorities the victim is in mental trauma due to what she had endured.
