A video and photographs of a minor boy in Pakistan, reportedly hung upside down and beaten by his seminary teacher, went viral on social media.
The Rawalpindi police, taking notice of the incident, arrested the teacher involved in the gruesome act on Friday.
Personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), with the help of intelligence agencies, located the seminary after the video and photo went viral on social media.
Noor Muhammad is in police custody.
According to media reports, the suspect, Noor Muhammad, was arrested from the seminary located in Sadiqabad area of Rawalpindi.
He, along with the victim and his father, were taken to police station for interrogation.
Initial investigation suggested that the incident occurred in winter last year, after which a settlement was reached between the school management and the aggrieved party.
