Motorists warned against driving with expired papers

Sharjah Police have warned residents against driving vehicles with expired licence or registration as it could lead to a fine of Dhs500  and the confiscation of their vehicle.

According to the Police, awareness campaigns urging motorists to avoid driving without valid papers and licence has been launched.

Reckless drivers who are not cautious of speed limit will also be punished.

The police will be carrying out inspections randomly to ensure all licences and registrations are renewed.

Any driver caught without valid documents will have their vehicle confiscated for seven days.

Parents are called on to prevent children without license from driving.

Parents of  underage children found driving will be held accountable under the juvenile delinquency law.
